Vanilla Iced Protein Latte
Smooth vanilla over ice with 28g of protein. No blender, no sweeteners, five minutes.

You'll Need
- Tall 16 oz glass
- Spoon or small whisk
- Handheld milk frother (optional)
Ingredients
- ✓2 scoops French Vanilla Protein Coffee (one 30g serving)
- ✓3/4 cup milk of choice (2% dairy, oat or almond)
- ✓1/4 cup cold water
- ✓1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- ✓1 cup ice cubes
Instructions
- 1Add both scoops to a glass with the 1/4 cup of cold water. Stir into a smooth paste - this is what keeps it from clumping.
- 2Pour in the milk and the vanilla extract. Stir or froth 15 seconds until silky.
- 3Fill a second glass with ice and pour the latte over.
A drive-through iced vanilla latte is mostly syrup with coffee behind it. This is the reverse - milk, real vanilla, and a serving of French Vanilla Protein Coffee carrying 22g of grass-fed whey. You don't brew anything, because the coffee is already in the powder.

Why This Works
There's real arabica instant coffee already blended into the powder, so there's nothing to brew and nothing to cool down. That's the whole reason this takes five minutes instead of twenty - you're not waiting on a machine, and you're not diluting anything by pouring hot coffee over ice.
Making the paste first is the difference between silky and gritty. Powder hitting a full glass clumps because the outside of each clump hydrates and seals the dry powder in. A splash of water, stirred smooth, and there's nothing left to seal.
Tips From Our Kitchen
- Vanilla extract is optional but it's what makes it taste like a coffee shop drink instead of a protein shake. Half a teaspoon, no more.
- Frothing the milk separately and pouring it on top gives you the layered look. Takes ten extra seconds.
- Mix the base at night, refrigerate, and pour it over fresh ice in the morning. Holds 24 hours.
- One scoop instead of two makes a lighter 11g version if this is going alongside breakfast rather than replacing it.
Swaps & Variations
- Vanilla cinnamon: a pinch of cinnamon in the paste. Reads sweeter without any sweetener.
- Extra coffee: swap the 1/4 cup water for 1/4 cup cold brew if you want a stronger cup.
- If you want it sweet: nothing in the powder is sweetened, so add a teaspoon of maple syrup or honey.
- Dairy-free: oat milk froths best and tastes closest to the real thing.
Common Questions
Do I need to brew coffee for this?
No. French Vanilla Protein Coffee already contains real arabica instant coffee, so the water and milk are all you add. That's about 40mg of caffeine, roughly half a standard cup.
How much protein is in it?
28 grams as written - 22g from one 30g serving (two scoops) of 100% grass-fed whey plus 4.5g of BCAAs, and about 6g more from the milk. With unsweetened almond milk it's 23 grams.
How many calories?
About 203 with 2% milk, or 141 with unsweetened almond milk. The powder itself is 105 calories with zero grams of sugar.
Is it sweetened?
No. There are no sweeteners in it, natural or artificial, and no added sugar. The 9g of sugar in the finished drink is lactose from the milk.
Will it clump if I skip the frother?
Not if you make the paste first. That step matters more than the tool - a spoon and fifteen seconds is enough.
